D&D Classic's Roger James will take part in his second "Peking To Paris Motor Challenge" this coming September with Arthur Freeman of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The duo will make the historic journey in a 1936 Ford Coupe, which has been restored and prepared for the trip by D&D Classic Automobile Restoration in Covington, Ohio.

James and Freeman made the journey three years ago, the 100th Anniversary of the first Peking To Paris Challenge in 1907.

"The first trip (in 2007) was the 100th anniversary (of the Peking to Paris trip)," said James, who took part in the trip along with friend Arthur Freeman of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. "We took the same route that was taken in 1907."

The 2010 journey will consist of a different route from China to Paris, which will run approximately 14,000 miles through unimaginable terrain. The 1936 Ford Coupe will be the home for James and Freeman throughout the journey expected to take nearly a month to complete.

"This time we'll be taking the silk route, Marco Polo's route" James explained. "We'll even go through Iran."

James and Freeman will begin the journey in September. The 1936 Ford Coupe is profiled in a slideshow above.
